About Mits

An AI-first technology partner in Bengaluru, helping businesses run secure, reliable, intelligent IT since 2013.

Our story

Mits started in 2013 as a three-person shop in Bengaluru with a simple belief: enterprise-grade technology shouldn't be reserved for enterprises. Over a decade later, we're a trusted partner to 250+ organisations across AI, cloud, security, data, and software.

We've rebuilt our own practice around AI first - every engagement now starts by asking what should be automated or augmented with AI before anything gets built by hand. You still get senior, certified engineers, not a rotating cast of juniors, and every solution we ship is hardened, monitored, and built to outlast the people who wrote it.

Straight answers

The questions you were going to ask on call three.

Every one of these gets asked eventually. Here they are up front, answered the way we would answer them in the room.

Pick a question

You askWhat if the engineer who built it leaves?

We answerNothing of yours lives in one person's head. Work happens in your repositories, under your accounts, with the decisions written down as we go. A second engineer reviews every change, so there is never only one person who understands a system.

You askWho owns the code?

We answerYou do, from the first commit. It sits in your version control, on your infrastructure, under your licences. We do not hold a repository hostage as leverage and we do not build on anything you cannot take with you.

You askWhy not just hire in-house?

We answerFor a permanent, predictable workload you probably should - and we will say so. Bring us in when you need five specialisms at once, when the work has a defined end, or when hiring the right person would take six months you do not have.

You askWhat happens if we want to leave?

We answerYou get a handover, not a hostage situation. Documentation, credentials, architecture notes and a walkthrough with whoever picks it up. We would rather you leave able to run it than stay because you cannot.

You askWhat don't you do?

We answerWe do not take work we cannot staff with senior people, and we do not sell a platform we would not run ourselves. If your problem is a better fit for a product you can buy off the shelf, we will point you at it.

Something we have not answered? Ask it directly - it goes to an engineer, not a queue.

Why Choose Mits

How this starts

Three ways in. Pick the one that sounds like you.

Every engagement begins one of these three ways. Whichever it is, the first call is with an engineer and costs you half an hour.

You know what you want and need people who can ship it.

Bring this

  • Roughly what it should do, even as bullet points
  • Who will use it and how many of them
  • Any deadline that is real, and why
  • What it must talk to that already exists

You leave with

A scoped plan with milestones, usually within a week of the first call.

Start this way

Something is slow, expensive or fragile and nobody can say exactly why.

Bring this

  • Read-only access to whatever is misbehaving
  • The last few incidents, however they were recorded
  • Your current bill, if cost is the symptom
  • Whoever knows the most about the system

You leave with

A written assessment: what we found, what it is costing you, what to fix first.

Start this way

Someone else built it, and now it is yours to keep running.

Bring this

  • Whatever documentation exists, even if it is out of date
  • Access to the accounts and repositories
  • What broke most recently
  • The contract terms with whoever has it now

You leave with

A handover plan and a date we can take the pager, without a rewrite first.

Start this way

Not sure which one? Say so - working that out is what the first call is for.
